This footage shows the moment a hippo burst out of the water after chasing a speedboat carrying tourists on Lake Kariba in Zimbabwe.

Hippopotamuses spend the majority of their days submerged in water, trying to cool off from the African sun. Despite weighing up to 3,175 kilograms (7,000 lbs) and measuring 4.2 meters (14 feet) long, they can run at speeds of up to 48 kilometers per hour (30 mph), easily outrunning a human.

However, they’ve also got a temper on them and kill over 3,000 humans a year. Apparently, they’re not too happy about noisy boats sailing through their rivers either.
