Posted on social media by Perth Zoo in Australia, it shows a loggerhead turtle that was treated by vets as it had been “pooping out plastic ingested from the ocean,” according to the zoo.

The turtle is thought to be less than a year old and was rescued a few weeks ago for medical treatment. While looking after it, vets found plastic in its feces.

Loggerhead turtles are endangered, with their populations declining in part due to pollution such as plastic waste.

In the video, you can see some of the plastic excreted by the turtle just in front of it. And, well, it really shows just how polluted our oceans are getting.
