As we head into the end of the week, Hurricane Florence is fast approaching the climax of her journey across the Atlantic to wreak devastation on the US East Coast – giving us some breathtaking – and slightly terrifying – footage as she comes.

-

And while the millions affected finalize their emergency plans, try to, um, shoot the weather into submission (please don't do this), and hopefully take the official advice to get the hell out of its path, even more have been watching Florence's trajectory and forecast via online tracker sites and apps.

One such tool helping hurricane-watchers keep track of Florence is the appropriately-named Hurricane Tracker app. On Tuesday (September 11), they published a map to their Facebook page showing the extent of the likely wind damage brought to the US as Florence penetrates the Eastern seaboard. Along with warm and devastatingly wet conditions – CNN promises a full 40 inches – the map shows just how large Florence's pounding is going to be.

However, people couldn't help noticing something a little, uh, NSFW about the graphic.

That's not... it can't be. Right?

Yes, you weren't the only one who saw it: there appears to be a gigantic penis heading straight for the US coast. And people found themselves having some trouble staying mature about the whole thing.

It wasn't long before Twitter came across Florence's impressive size as well.

Although the suggestive graphic was presumably an accident, it is somehow a fitting representation for a storm that has already been described as "tremendously big and tremendously wet" in a White House briefing from Donald Trump this Tuesday.

In yet another reminder to those in the path of the storm, it's worth noting that Trump also said the response to last year's hurricane in Puerto Rico – which officially killed nearly 3,000 people – had been "incredibly successful". As Carolina officials are warning residents: leave, now, or else you're on your own.

Although Florence has recently been downgraded to a Category 2 storm, it's still set to be devastating. BBC News reports that over 10 million people are under a storm watch as the East Coast braces itself for this hot, wet natural disaster.
