If the Earth lost all its oxygen for just five minutes, the results would be a lot worse than a shortness of breath. In fact, it would make the most catastrophic disaster movie look like an episode of the "Care Bears." 

This short video by Buzzfeed explains how pretty much everything on our planet – from the ground we walk on to the cells that we're composed of – is inextricably reliant on oxygen.
