A clear picture of the mysterious Kraken, Google Earth.

A mysterious finding on google Earth has the cryptozoologists in a frenzy. Have we finally found the mythological Kraken?

Scott Waring of UFO Sighting Daily thinks so. In a post he writes:

“This looks like The Kraken. I used Google ruler and it says this is 30 meters (100 feet) from head to end, but the end looks just like the mid area of a giant squid which means it could be 60+ meters long with tentacles. That sounds like a Kraken to me.”

Not satisfied with this comprehensive explanation, he also mentioned how the sighting “IMMEDIATELY made me think of a Plesiosaur fin,” (his caps, not ours). This led to finding the object's exact coordinate of 63° 2'56.73"S 60°57'32.38"W, off the coast of Antarctica, which led to connecting this evident discovery of the Kraken with the Bloop, a mysterious infrasound signal recorded in 1997.

The Bloop was explained as an ice quake within a large iceberg by the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. But if we discard all evidence, it is perfectly valid to believe this was generated by a mythological underwater monster.

Obviously, some naysayer skeptic could point out that we share the planet with the largest animal that ever lived, the blue whale, which can reach a length of 30 meters. But facts always seem to get in the way of a good story.

In a world where everyone is carrying a camera in their pocket, and thus sighting of UFOs and yetis have been dwindling, it's always good to know we can still find Krakens and plesiosaurs within the grainier images taken from orbit.

We await more development on this fascinating discovery and if anyone needs me I’ll be At The Mountains of Madness.
