This Monday, October 26, NASA is set to announce an "exciting new discovery about the Moon". The details are sparse, as the actual discovery will be revealed at a conference at 12 pm EDT on the day, though it has revealed the new discovery "contributes to NASA’s efforts to learn about the Moon in support of deep space exploration," which will affect the upcoming Artemis mission.

The exciting new find comes from the Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy (SOFIA), a Boeing 747SP aircraft modified to carry a 2.7-meter (9-foot) reflecting telescope. Essentially a flying observatory, the plane gets a clearer look at the skies by flying above 99 percent of Earth’s infrared-blocking atmosphere.

The announcement all sounds very exciting, and we have an inkling what it might be about (sorry, no spoilers), but all will be revealed on Monday. Until then, you're going to have to make do with some good old-fashioned Internet speculation. It turns out that although everyone is excited by the announcement, 2020 has put them on edge, wondering if it'll be something along the lines of the Moon has decided to go live with Venus for a while, or has contracted Covid-19.
