To celebrate May the fourth, NASA has released an interesting list of exoplanets that are, in one way or another, similar to the worlds we find in the "Star Wars" universe.

A galaxy far, far away is not going to look much different to our own Milky Way, and while we have yet to find perfect copies of Earth out there in the cosmos, we can toy with the idea that the worlds dreamt up by George Lucas have real-life counterparts.

From lava worlds to icy planets and exomoons, the universe is quickly becoming stranger than fiction and, hopefully, real worlds will inspire the science fiction authors of the future.
