It’s difficult to tell what makes a good prank.

Whereas some give credit to the outrageousness of certain trickery, others respect the subtler ones, and it’s becoming increasingly clear that one Jeff Wysaski, also known as Obvious Plant, is becoming the master of the latter.

His most recent mischievous endeavor involved putting up fake animal signs at Los Angeles Zoo, which claim, among other things, that flamingos named Phillip are philanderers, meerkats have psychokinesis superpowers, and that a bunch of koalas once impersonated a US president.

The possibilities of this prank are near-endless. “Turtles are nature's tanks, and are often used in zoological warfare,” perhaps. “Bald eagles are constantly offended that people mock their slight lack of hair.” Hopefully, this isn’t the last we’ll see of these fake animal signs.

Who knows, some of these things might be true. After all, considerably weirder things have happened.
