Move aside, driverless cars; Nissan has released a video that shows “intelligent” office chairs capable of moving and parking themselves under their appropriate desk.

Cameras around the office can locate the position of the chairs, as well as their required destination and the shape of the room. This information is used to calculate a route that is wirelessly sent to the automatic wheely chairs. All of this happens at the clap of a hand, just like an old-school clapper light.

Don’t get your hopes up if messy boardrooms are the bane of your life, though. Nissan has no plans to make the chairs commercially available. The video was released as a promotion for their parking assist, which helps drivers park their car using automatic steering.

"With this innovation in office technology, Japanese businessmen are now freed from the troublesome task of arranging chairs, using this new technology already adopted in Nissan vehicles," Nissan jokingly said in a statement.
