Jelani the gorilla, who lives at Louisville Zoo in the U.S., seems to take great interest as a young visitor scrolls through images of other gorillas on his phone. Jelani’s gaze flicks between the man and the phone, almost as if he's telling him to move on to the next image.

The western lowland gorilla, which the IUCN defines as critically endangered, is being housed in a 1,600 sqaure meter (4 acre) gorilla sanctuary along with other gorillas, where they are looked after by a dedicated team.
