Oh gallium, you absolute weirdo. This metal – which is somewhat similar to aluminum – has an incredibly low melting point of just 29.8°C (85.6°F), which means that it can quickly transform from a solid to a liquid if you grip it in your hand.

The temperature of the speaker was just around this melting point, which means that as music blared through the room, the gallium was constantly changing from a liquid to a solid, creating some decidedly funky landscapes.
