Around 10 to 15 percent of people in the U.S. have some degree of dyslexia. It’s characterized by a difficulty with reading and writing without having any effect on intelligence. However, despite the stresses and strains that come with the condition, it’s thought the vast bulk of people affected do not even receive any acknowledgement or assistance, with many sufferers not even knowing they have the condition.

There are different severities and types of dyslexia, with many people experiencing it in a totally different way. But for those without dyslexia, it can be a struggle to understand or appreciate the condition. So to give some insight, Victor Widell has developed a small simulation which imitates what it might feel like to be affected by dyslexia.
