Humans have an odd fascination with popping pimples. Take for example the subreddit r/Popping, where over 65,000 people have subscribed to see videos of people busting their spots, pimples, cysts, and ingrown hairs. Yep.

Dr. Sandra Lee, a certified dermatologist known under the online alias “Dr. Pimple Popper,” has a whole YouTube channel dedicated to the art of popping. She recently went on the CBS medical chat show “The Doctors” to showcase some of the worst – yet oddly satisfying – dermatological delights in the inaugural “Popping Awards.”

At the show, the audience were asked to choose their favourite of three examples of popping of oddball bumps. These included a lipoma (a fatty benign tumour) on a woman’s arm, a pilar cyst on a woman's scalp and a cyst on a woman’s thigh. The winner, in a “landslide victory,” was a cyst the size of a tennis ball on a 24-year-old woman named Kristi. Fortunately for Kristi, she was awarded a $500 gift card for her efforts. Check it out below.
