Government websites from the Russian Federation have gone down several times following the Russian invasion of Ukraine earlier today. It is currently unclear why the sites are down and if there is someone responsible for it. The Russian government has been accused of waging cyberattacks for years, some even in preparation of this invasion. They have also been accused of having troll farms across social media websites to spread disinformation. This could potentially be a retaliatory attack.

Attacks from the Russian army are widespread across Ukraine and include the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, the location of the 1986 disaster.
