Photographer Sandy Rich captured the moment two gray whales peacefully swam alongside a pod of bottlenose dolphins off the coast of Windansea Beach, California, using an aerial drone.

It is reported that the pair of whales were migrating north for the summer.

This occurrence is not as unusual as you might think. Earlier this year, similar drone footage caught the moment a pod of humpback whales were seen swimming with dolphins off the coast of Hawaii.
