The extraordinary video below shows how a Soyuz rocket makes it from the ground to the International Space Station (ISS).
Assembled from years of launch footage by Sploid, the Soyuz reaches the ISS in less than two minutes. Of course, the video has been accelerated. Usually it takes hours to dock, and at a very sedate pace relative to the ISS.
At first, the rocket launches with a fiery burst. As it approaches the ISS, the careful precision required for docking to the space station is visible from several angles.
