In this video from Science Channel, we see the awesome (albeit oddly unsettling) magnetic putty in action.

Using time-lapse photography, the metallic gloop creepily envelopes the magnets – a technique showcased by the Da Vinci of metallic putty, Joey Shanks. The putties contain either iron oxide or magnetite, which endow this innocuous-looking slop with its magnetic properties. 

Next step for metallic putty: world domination.
