From the snow-capped mountains of Colorado and the salt flats of Utah to the sweaty swamps of Florida, the United States is a land of huge variety, even when it comes to their porn watching habitats.
Pornhub Insights, the definitive insight into the world’s deepest desires, published two maps in 2016 looking at the top ranking search terms and viewed categories in each state across the US.
The most searched for terms varied massively across the states. Although searches for “lesbian” ruled the roost for most of the country, numerous odd pockets stood out, too. Turns out, Tennessee and Vermont are into searching for “cartoon”, while Mississippi, Louisiana, and Georgia were particularly fond of searching for “ebony” and “black.” Rhode Island was the only state to search for “MILF” the most and Hawaii stood out as preferring to search for “Asian” videos above all else.
But who says America has been polarized over the past year or so? In terms of the most viewed categories, the US was much less divided. “Lesbian” still topped the charts across huge swathes of the US. “Teen” closely followed (ewww, you lot), being ranked the top viewed category in 19 different Western, Mid-West, and North-East states. Coming in at number 3, “Ebony” was the top in most of the southeastern states and New York state.
