Pornhub have released their crazily extensive 2016 Year in Review report. For the fourth year, the online porn giants have delved through their data to get insights into the pornographic habits of the world. Like many things in 2016, stuff got weird.
Online users collectively managed to watch 91,980,225,000 videos on Pornhub. That worked out to be approximately 5,246 centuries – yup, centuries – worth of porn videos played.
“Lesbian”, “step mom”, and “MILF” were the world’s top searches. Among the biggest increases in searches was “ebony” (going up 12 spots from 2015), “lesbian scissoring” (up 18 spots), and “massage” (up 63 spots). But by far the biggest increase of all was the 2016 first-person shooter video game “Overwatch” (up 452 spots).
Now, we’re all for the “whatever floats your boat” philosophy. However, they did pick up on one slightly concerning trend. Following the day of the US election, they witnessed an 874 percent spike in searches for Donald Trump. That was beaten by searches for his daughter “Tiffany", up by 2,548 percent, and future First Lady “Melania”, up by 1,538 percent.
Searches for Boris Johnson, the floppy-haired British politician who dubiously led the “Leave” the European Union campaign, were up 14,624 percent. Hopefully, that’s only because someone uploaded a video of him with the caption “Dumb British blond f*cks 15 million people at once” following the UK’s controversial vote to leave the EU. Hopefully.
They also broke down the statistics country by country.
The average visit on Pornhub was 9 minutes and 36 seconds – that’s up 16 seconds from last year. It turns out the Philippines takes the longest to get their rocks off, spending an average of 12 minutes 45 seconds on the site. At the other end of the spectrum, Cuba has the shortest duration at just 4 minutes and 57 seconds.
Searches for “step mom” took the top place in the US, closely followed by “lesbian” and “step sister”. The relative searches (the category they search more for than any other nation) were “big booty latina”, “big black dick”, and “ebony”.
Starting from the highest, the top searches for the UK were “lesbian”, “milf”, “step sister”, “british”, “step mom”, and then “lesbian seduces straight”. The relative search terms for the UK was the oh-so-patriotic categories of “british”, “british chav”, and “british schoolgirl”.
