Ohio Governor Offers $1 Million To Randomly Selected Vaccinated People To Boost Acceptance Rate

As COVID-19 vaccines roll out to millions of Americans, the rate of acceptance and demand has begun to dwindle. Reasons why are still debated – some believe that we are reaching the threshold of people that are going to accept the vaccine, with the remainder unwilling to take it; while others believe the recent concerns over blood clotting have reduced people’s trust. Either way, it is incredibly important for the safety of the population that all those that can be vaccinated receive the vaccine.

With that in mind, a governor from Ohio has come up with a nifty way of encouraging getting dosed up. Governor Mike DeWine announced recently that five random people that have received the vaccine will be chosen to receive one million dollars each, creating a lottery where the ticket is free and may save your life.

It is an interesting solution to the problem that has ruffled some feathers and perked up others, but DeWine believes that getting the vaccine is far more important than money spent on the lottery.
