So how much radiation are we really exposed to during our normal everyday lives?

This short video from Business Insider gives you some insight. It’s measured in microsieverts (μSv), a unit used to measure the health effects of low levels of ionizing radiation on the human body. Approximately 4,000,000 μSv (4 Sv) of radiation is enough to kill you if received in a short enough period.

But don’t worry, you’ll have to eat around 10,000,000 bananas in one sitting to get any ill-effects.
