Designed for delicate, minimally invasive surgery, this tiny robot (or da Vinci Surgical System) is operated by a regular-sized human being.

Using toothed pincers to grip a needle and thread, the robot in the video (below) perfectly reattaches the loose grape skin to the grape with neat stitches.

Quite distressingly, a disclosure statement at the end highlights the severe complications to a patient that could arise from a doctor using the da Vinci Surgical System “up to and including death.” Death would be a pretty serious complication!
