Is it really possible to find links between the time of the year you're born and the diseases you are susceptible to? This short video by Tech Insider gives a quick glimpse at research that analyzed whether your birth month had any correlation to certain health problems.
The research was carried out by data scientists at Columbia University Medical Center. It looked at the medical records of over 1.7 million patients and lined up their birth month with 1,688 different diseases.
Remember, though, that correlation doesn’t always mean causation. As Dr. Nicholas Tatonetti, who led the initial study, said: “The risk related to birth month is relatively minor when compared to more influential variables like diet and exercise.”
