Women Are Sharing Body "Facts" They Heard From Men, And We Don't Know Whether To Laugh Or Cry

Ah, the Internet. Once heralded as a new "information superhighway", the online world can sometimes resemble more of a wild west of memes and disinformation than the shining frontier of enlightenment we were promised. And despite millions of terabytes of collected human knowledge being literally just a click away, people are still confused about some pretty basic things.

OK, specifically, men are confused

Last week, Twitter user @wahweepop posted a 76-character description of her date. It's fair to assume it didn't go well.

Listen, not every person can know everything, but adult humans of any gender should probably have learned at some point that a period typically lasts for two to seven days each month – any longer than that and you should think about seeing your doctor.

But the tweet started a wave of women offering their own stories of times they've been lucky enough to have their own anatomy explained to them. And, dudes, you really need to pick up a biology textbook.
