YouTube channel Veritasium put together an awesome video last week, showing how a specific camera set up can see changes in the air between the warmer and cooler parts.

This is the result of striking a match...

Lighting a lighter...

And pouring cold air out of a cocktail glass. It's seriously cool.

Our favourite has to be bursting a bubble.

The technique is called Schlieren Imaging and has been used for a variety of things, including wind tunnel tests by NASA.
