In the morning, many of us reach for a caffeinated drink. Be it our morning coffee, cup of tea or even an "energy" drink, without it we feel all most sub-human. So we reach for that magical substance known as caffeine to pep us up and hey presto, we start to feel more alert.

So you caffeine gives you energy, right? Wrong.

Caffeine doesn't actually create energy at all. So what is this sorcery I hear you cry?!

Turns out, the caffeine molecule is just a sneaky imposter that tricks the brain into thinking you're not earth shatteringly tired after all.
