People Are Sharing Science Diagrams That Look Like Shitposts, And They're Incredible

Over the last few weeks, something magical has happened. People have noticed that old science textbook diagrams have a remarkable similarity to deliberate shitposts on the Internet.

In case you've missed everything from dial-up Internet right up until now (in which case we recommend you stop reading and go check out Hide The Pain Harold, you're going to love him), let us explain "shitposting". Normal posting on the Internet involves posting things you think people will enjoy. Shitposting is posting things that are deliberately terrible and of "aggressively, ironically, and of trollishly poor quality" to social media, often intentionally to annoy people or just to amuse them with several layers of wrongness.

Apparently, this occurs naturally in science textbooks, as people have been sharing recently. We've collated a few of our favorites, with thanks to the Science Diagrams That Look Like Shitposts Twitter account.

We're going to throw you in the deep end by making you look at the horse-man size comparison, before cleansing your palatte with some other surreal gems.
