Podcast host Joe Rogan has lashed out at Australia after being duped by a satirical pro-vaccination advert produced by comedy show Gruen. The advert, which directly references Rogan, was mistaken by Rogan as an official campaign by the Australian government, prompting a fiery social media response.

Please sign in or subscribe to access the full content.The rant follows Rogan making extensive claims that Australia is being far too forceful with their pandemic measures, believing the country has significant liberty issues as a result of COVID-19 lockdowns.
“Not only has Australia had the worst reaction to the pandemic with dystopian, police-state measures that are truly inconceivable to the rest of the civilized world, but they also have the absolute dumbest propaganda,” he writes in an Instagram post. The post has since been edited to reference the satirical nature of the video.
In the video, a man collapses in an apparent allergic reaction, and a bystander attempts to help with an EpiPen. The man refuses repeatedly, asking for the ingredients and the "stats from Europe", quite blatantly poking fun at the various reasons some people give to refuse the COVID-19 vaccine. As he dies, he desperately asks "what does Joe Rogan say about it" and finally "call Joe", before the advert then urges people to get vaccinated.
Rogan clearly took the video as an official release, and used it as ammo in his current "fight" against Australia’s lockdowns. In a September podcast, Rogan stated that Australia has become a "police state" and expressed disapproval over the way the military has been used to enforce COVID-19 measures.
