Instagram and Twitter aren't just for photos of cats and trashy celebrities. American astronaut Scott Kelly has been personally posting some incredible photographs to his Instagram and Twitter. Taken all the way from the International Space Station, Kelly’s photos show Australia from 400 kilometers (250 miles) up in the cosmic shores.

In one tweet, he said, "Australia. You are very beautiful. Thank you for being there to brighten our day." 

On March 27, 2015, Kelly and Russian cosmonaut Mikhail Korniyenko commenced a one-year Mission hoping to study the effects of spaceflight on the human body. They plan to land in Kazakhstan in spring 2016. Let’s hope their Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out.
