Documentary filmmaker Michael Moore has threatened to start fracking off the coast of Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort, in response to the Trump administration's proposal to increase off-shore drilling.

Last week, the Trump administration said that they would allow new drilling for gas and oil in US coastal waters. The move would make more than a billion acres of coast along the Eastern Seaboard and the Arctic available for fracking by energy companies.

That includes Florida, home of Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago golf club, where Trump has so far spent an impressive nearly a third of his presidency. This hasn't gone unnoticed.

One Twitter user, George Polisner, decided to ask for Michael Moore's help, tweeting: "I'm waiting for Michael Moore to show up with some massive industrial fracking equipment at Mar-a-Lago. Please, Michael? Bring back TV Nation?"

Moore didn't disappoint. The documentary maker, known for documentaries criticizing Presidents, the gun lobby, and large corporations, responded saying he was already on it for his new TV show, Live From The Apocalypse.

He'd even picked out the make of fracker he was going to use, and it's a beauty. As a bonus, he also offered to let Florida residents take any excess oil spills for no cost whatsoever.

What a gent.

People who might not be happy with Michael Moore's plans include Florida's Governor, Rick Scott, who is an outspoken critic of Trump's plan to allow offshore drilling, despite being a Republican, a Trump supporter, and a climate change denier.

“I have already asked to meet immediately with Secretary Zinke to discuss the concerns I have with this plan and the critical need to remove Florida from consideration,” Scott said of Trump's plans to allow fracking off the Eastern Seaboard.

"My top priority is to ensure that Florida's natural resources are protected, which is why I proposed $1.7 billion for the environment in this year's budget."

Michael Moore hasn't exactly been quiet about his dislike for Trump so far. We're guessing that his plan to annoy the president while he is busy running the country from his golf course is made in jest.

However, it might have backfired on Moore, a keen environmentalist, after several people have commented that they're now on board with the idea of fracking if annoys the President.
