This Drone With Robotic Claws Is Both Awesome And Terrifying

I, for one, welcome our new clawed drone overlords. Prodrone via YouTube

Japanese company Prodrone has unveiled their latest product, and it is equal parts a brilliant achievement and the stuff of nightmares.

The drone, called PD6B-AW-ARM, is a large-format drone equipped with six propellers and two robotic arms. At the end of each arm, there is a claw that is perfect to carry small items of up to 10 kilograms (22 lbs) in weight. The terrifying bit is the hawkish appearance of the claws, which seem ready to snatch a small child and take them into the stratosphere.

Evil claws aside, the drone can remain airborne autonomously for 30 minutes, which means it could be useful for moving objects in difficult-to-land places. Check it out in all its terrifying glory below.
