The internet will soon lose a legend: Yahoo Answers.

Yahoo has recently announced its plan to shut down Yahoo Answers in less than a month’s time. By April 20, users won't be able to post new questions or answer other users' questions, and the website will be made completely inaccessible by May 4.

Yahoo Answers is simply a question-and-answer site where users can ask about anything and other users can reply. In the days before social media, this humble site was a much-needed space to interact and exchange information, from the vaguely useful to the utterly useless. However, Yahoo has come to realize that the times they are a-changin'.

“We launched Yahoo Answers sixteen years ago to help people around the world connect and share information. With you and millions of other users, we built the best place on the web to ask and answer questions on a variety of topics, creating a community of global knowledge sharing" Yahoo said in an announcement shared on the r/DataHoarder subreddit.

"While Yahoo Answered was once a key part of Yahoo's products and services, it has become less popular over the years as the needs of our members have changed.”

Like many facets of internet culture, Yahoo Answers was a sublime cesspit of bizarre and ridiculous content, spawning a rich array of memes. It also had more than its fair share of problems with conspiracy theories, low-quality posts, and racist content.

Perhaps some of the most ridiculous content includes “Am i gregnant?” and "My friends did a Luigi board... and it mentioned me! PLEAS HELP!?" shown in the brilliant videos above. As a final bid farewell to this troubled icon, fans have been sharing their favorite questions that have emerged on the site. Godspeed, Yahoo Answers, you have served us well (well, you tried your best).
